About Us

The DogHouse started as the store Sam Graham built for his father when the elder Graham got too old to continue farming.  That was 5 generations ago!  Sam (S.T.) Graham later ran the store for decades and built a 6 room house on the back for his family, where he and his wife Nettie Sue raised 2 daughters.  Sam closed the store in the early 1990's and it remained boarded up until 2006 when Richard and Mary Daniels bought the property from Ms. Nettie Sue.  In 2008 the Daniels decided to renovate the old store and home to make a worshop and a place for friends and family to gather to make some music together.

Tom Slate, a contractor from Comer, GA was brought in and together he and his crew helped the Daniels' vision take shape.  Except for all new modern wiring the store section is pretty much as Sam left it.  The old home was restored and renovated to the represent the period around the 1950's.
